tbcThe Hospital of St Cross, Winchester

The Hospital of St Cross is a medieval building, and is one of England’s oldest Almshouses. I’m excited to be doing this concert in the beautiful chapel there as part of their Thursday lunchtime recital series.

The concert will be a mix of solo flute and some duos with their organist and resident Graham Davies, who is an old friend of mine: we are looking forward to playing together again in this reunion concert.

    1:10 pmSt Stephens Church, Bristol

I will be performing a lunchtime concert of Spanish Songs with guitar, accompanied by my husband Francisco Correa. These concerts are free entry but they take a retiring collection, with suggested amount £5-10, so please bring some money if you can.

I’m excited about this beautiful programme – we’ll be doing a set of songs by Gabriel Garcia Lorca (yes the famous author, he also composed music), and the Spanish folk songs by Manuel de Falla.

Come and hear me as a singer, no flutes in sight!

David Francisco and I are going to be performing our CarmenCo concert/play for Rhymney Valley Music Club, generously supported by Night Out Wales.

CarmenCo is more than a concert: It occupies the borders between a play and a concert, with 80/20
music to spoken word. It is a concert of Spanish and Spanish inspired music presented as a play,
with costumes, props and a storyline which roughly follows the story of Bizet’s opera Carmen,
but told from her point of view. Dare you consult the cards with her? What does she think of the
men in her story? Did she foresee her gruesome ending? And does she like the opera Bizet wrote
    about her?

More information and ticket link to be found on the concert series website.
